((The Lonley Corpse))
You would never guess that a member of the living dead, a corpse would think that it was cold out. You would never think that the dead could feel. They can. You will think it's impossible, that it cannot happen. I am sure it could. It was a dark, foggy night in a town far, far away.

There once was a lonley corpse. The corpse was always able to be found walking the streets, but he remembers one day in peticular. One day when he was walking the streets when he noticed that everything around him died. He wanted nothing more then a friend. This was hard for him to accept. He just wanted someone to talk to, someone to love.

On his way, people walking near him would scream with fright and then fall over, dead. He saw a rosebush and he wanted a rose to set upon his grave and some of his friend's graves. He reached for the rose, and it died as soon as he touched it.

"Woof!" went a little puppy as it ran up to meet him. The puppy fell dead as well as soon as it drew close to him.

The corpse realised that it was a walking plague upon the earth, the bringer of death, that noone would love him.

He sat down on the curb outside of a store watching as the shoppers coming out of the store fell dead, one by one.

The corpse suddanly became very depressed and got up to go back to his grave when something caught his eye, something yellow.

"What is it?" he asked squinting in the dark.

Whatever it was it was drawing nearer to him.

It was a woman. Not just any woman. The most beautiful woman he's ever seen. Wearing a yellow dress and a large yellow sunhat, with flowing blonde hair.

" Why hasn't she died? Why hasn't she dropped dead like all of the countless others?" he asked himself as she was standing right next to him.

"Perhaps it is because I am not like all the others. You see, I am too a corpse. I have been going throught the exact same thing as you,and I too have been looking for a friend, maybe someone more then a friend."

He was amazed. She could've fooled anyone. She looked alive and you couldn't even see any of her bones. He lookes behind her and studies the trail od dead shoppers left by her walking by.

"You fooled me, you look so human-like!" He looked at the ground, shly.

"I fool many." she looked into his intence, green eyes.

Then for a second, time seemed to stop completly. It was like all the clocks in the world suddanly froze up as she kissed him. He had gotten all he has ever wanted in his life, a friend to talk to, and so had she.

The lonley corpse was not feeling lonley as he took her hand and led her a place to where they would live together throughout eternety, his grave.
